I workout on an elliptical 5 times a week for an hour and lift weights and do crunches (I perform different types of crunches and lift different ways in order to work out different muscle groups) for about 40 minutes. I have so far lost 40 pounds, but it only appears to be coming off my lower section. What exercises can I perform that will allow me to burn off the fat around my stomach and chest?
Monday- 45 minutes cardio, arms.
Tuesday- 45 minutes cardio, legs.
Thursday-45 minutes cardio, arms.
Friday-45 minutes cardio, legs.
Saturday- step class and then pump class….1.5 hours.
I’m watching my calories I’m not eating less than 1,200 and no more than 1,500. I’m eating 3 meals & 2 snacks (which are usually a pudding, fruit, etc.)
I also sit in the steam room for 15 minutes a day.
I would like to know if it is possible to tone your body and make it look good after a huge weight loss, or if i have to go the surgery route?
My anxiety has been running at very high levels for three weeks on Tuesday. I seem to have lost 9 pounds since then. I am 5′ 6″ and when this started I was 180.
Christmas hasn’t helped. I didn’t put up a tree, decorate, or buy any gifts this year. Under “normal” conditions, I would go to my step-sisters for the holiday; even I though I could probably manage the time off from work, I am not going. It is better for them to be a little down due to my absence than to be really down because I am there.
The only time I’ve ever been able to maintain losing was when I was keeping a blog to track progress.
That said – I’m at a loss for what to name it! I want something catchy, but not really long – it’ll need to be a domain name at some point, so if it’s too long it won’t work.
For the record, I’m losing weight by eating healthier and going to the gym.
Can anyone help me out?
I want to eat Kashi cereal to lose weight but I don’t know what else to purchase. I have been struggling with weight and I want to just start by eating healthy then adding exercise so I won’t fall off my diet back to back. What are good products to eat to stay full and healthy?

When I first started my diet I wasn’t sure how much I weighed. So I stepped on 3 different scales. The reason for that was because the first 2 said different #’s. I know I can figure out if I lost weight by the way my clothes fit, but I actually want to know if I’m close to my target weight or not. Sure my clothes are a little loose now, but does that mean I lost 5lbs, 10lbs or what not?
My bf’s scales says I droped 13lbs, my scale says I dropped 10lbs, my co-workers scales says I only dropped 6. Yes I weighed myself the same day on each scale. I understand that you weight fluctuates throughout the day, but still need to know a best way if any.
I’m not obsessed, nor do I think I’m really fat, but it would be nice to know if my work out routine is working or if it should be adjusted based on pounds loss or gained.
And yes, I do eat healthy, no junk food, no fast food, no soda.
