Is This True About Weight Loss?
I read somewhere that exercising is only like 10% of losing weight, and your diet is 90%. And that the main reason for exercising is to raise your metabolism and buil muscle, not necessarily to burn fat, because if you are eating the right foods, and eating enough then your body should burn the excess fat on it’s own? Does this sound right?
I’m really healthy and i’d say its 50/50, sure you can loose weight(fat) doing one or the other, but it’ll be faster doing both. Yea you burn fat during a work out too.
you are ot you eat after all and yes it can keep you slim, that is if ur eating the minimum portions of food, but exercise is vital for weightloss. You see there comes a point in ur body wen eating less or just enough may make you put on pounds, that is if you dont use the amount of calories you consume. The body does everything to store fat as fat is a form of protection for vital organs. Fat is especially deposited on the bodies of women due to lower metabolism and the hormone oestrogen which promotes fat deposition on hips. Exercise is therefore vital to loss weight and keep weight off. Less food results in the slowing down of uur metabolism, ur body thinks ur somewhat starving as ur limiting the food amount and so staore any little food you eat. My advice is to eat healthy eg a balanced diet, exercise and stay optimistice, belive it or not optimism actually speeds up ur metabolism.
Hope this helps. TC.
I don’ know if it’s exactly 10/90 but the general idea is correct.
